AND suddenly it's November.
October flew by and we are now ensconced in colder weather, an excruciating election season, and fortunately, the World Series. We've been making a concerted effort to keep the television off away from the fear mongering and hate. I cannot wait for this election to be over; I believe it is taking a toll on us all.
The highlight of this late Fall season for us is the World Series. Watching the two best teams of the season compete against one another night after night makes for excellent baseball, especially this year. Once the NY teams are out of contention, we find ourselves getting attached to players and teams we meet for the first time; while it's different than rooting for your team, the passion we feel is real. Our allegiance this year is firmly with the Cubs. Hoping they can overcome this alleged curse and win the whole thing for the first time since 1908 has been thrilling.
I keep an old baseball on my desk in the studio throughout the year that reminds me of my love for the game, well after the season is done.
